Hard to believe, but I’m writing this blog post wrapped in a cosy blanket in front of my computer. It seems the beautiful Autumn weather has simply disappeared. Little Miss Jaymie loved to be wrapped throughout her whole session. Perfect rainy weather today to just stay wrapped up.
Each year I make sure I boost my education and training in photography in some way. I want to make sure that I can be the best I can for all my lovely clients and ensure that I am a fully trained, educated and skilled professional photographer. Specialising in Newborn Photography I NEED to ensure safety and know that I am aware of how to safely pose a newborn baby.
Last year I flew to Brisbane to meet up with the amazingly talented Kelly Brown from Little Pieces Photography and completed a one-on-one mentoring session. Kelly is one of Australia’s best Newborn Photographers. I spent the day learning some of the finer details when posing a newborn baby, post processing and all things business.
I had such an amazing day! I spent the day with a gorgeous lady, watching Kelly at work, tried to squeeze so much information into my brain that my head hurt and I got to spend some time with this beautiful little poppet.

Feel very excited to be able to finally use the internet as many people take for granted daily. A couple of weeks ago we were able to receive an ADSL internet connection. This means we can use internet freely without thinking of going over data allowances.
Seems very silly, living so close to the city, and we are very excited to be able to do simple things like blogging much more frequently. So hopefully from here on in we’ll be doing a lot more of it.
A while ago I got to meet the coolest kid around. I was lucky enough to photograph Baxter and his cool room for LittleOne Kids Magazine. Baxter was heaps of fun and we had a blast.
